Fear of Flying

Okay, time to write a line or two I think this picture doesn't really need an explanation, but let me tell you why I wanted to draw it.

Long story short, I have this phobia Sure, it's nothing serious: it's not like I live on a plane, nobody forces me to take one and so on. Yet things are a bit different this time. I'd like to go somewhere by the end of August, and since I live on an island (Sicily), the only way to go somewhere else would be by ship or by plane. But since a ship is too slow and expensive, and unable to reach most of the places I'd like to travel to, taking a plane is the only option left. And this wouldn't be a problem, if not for this fear I have.

Now, what should I do? If you're not scared of planes, do you have any suggestions? If you used to be scared of them but not anymore, how did you get rid of your fear of flying? And if you're still afraid of that, how do you deal with it when there's no other choice but taking a plane to go to a place you must absolutely reach? I really need some help, because I don't have too much time left (I'll be unable to go anywhere after the end of August, mostly because I'll be busy with my studies again)... but on the other hand, I haven't done anything yet because I'm too scared to fly to the places I'd like to spend my holidays in.

I'd really be grateful to you all if you gave me some advice! And even if you cannot... well, you can still enjoy the picture!
